Sicily island is located in the Mediterranean Sea and is better known for its history, volcano and food. But to have the privilege of skiing on the slopes of Etna is just wonderful.
4 days of total change of scenery. You arrive at Catania airport in a T-shirt, to find yourself at the top of Etna volcano at 3350m. The contrast is striking.

  • Competent to ski in all snow types and all terrain up to slopes of 30 to 35º

  • Be able to climb up from 600 to 1200m of elevation

Itinerary

Day 1

Fly to Catania airport in Sicily where we'll meet before heading to our accommodation for those 4 days of skiing above the Mediterranean Sea. 
To make the most of the stay and the local food, we will eat every day in a different restaurant to taste the local products.

day 2

Direction the southern slope of Etna, for the first ascent of the volcano. We will climb up the ski slopes, according to the snow conditions of the moment. (In case of lack of snow, you can use the ski lifts, not included in the price).

We will cross many lava flows which all have their history, then following the activity of the volcano, we will reach one of its summits.
Return by the same route and back to our house.

Average height difference: about 1500m ascent and descent.

day 3

Second acsencion but this time on the north side. A long snowy ridge will bring us to the former main summit of the volcano. From there we have a breathtaking view of all the different craters.
In case of the lack of snow, we can use the ski lifts (not included in the price).

Return by the same route and back to our house.

Average height difference: about 1500m ascent and descent.

day 4

We take the opportunity to visit the place before taking the plane back to France.
